Traffic Manager
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Traffic Manager, you will play a key role in aligning discipline goals with organisational objectives and driving outstanding results for clients or stakeholders. Reporting to the Agency Director, you will develop strategies, oversee team execution, and ensure measurable outcomes for project delivery functions.
This role requires strategic thinking and performance analysis to oversee agency delivery, manage relationships with key stakeholders, and drive discipline performance. The ideal candidate will be operationally focused, ensuring the agency stays at the forefront of industry standards.
As part of being a B Corporation™ accredited agency, you will ensure that sustainability, ethical practices, and social responsibility are embedded in the discipline’s operations and strategies.
Key Responsibilities:
Management
- Inspire the delivery teams within the agency, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Work with the Agency Director to set clear objectives and KPIs for agency traffic ensuring alignment with overall company goals.
- Identify and execute opportunities for operational efficiencies across the agency
Delivery
- Ensure the timely delivery of all project and retainer deliverables for all disciplines monitoring performance against scopes of work, timelines, SLAs and milestones.
- Ensure the highest quality standards for all outputs from the agency.
- Oversee time input and monitor billable versus non-billable efforts to optimise productivity.
- Lead weekly Traffic meetings to ensure agency alignment and efficient delivery.
- Review agency wide capacity and escalate the need for additional resource.
- Work with the sales team to provide timeline forecasts and raise resourcing implications with new business, upsells and renewals.
Reporting
- Ensure accurate completion and timely submission of traffic reports.
- Keep project management system up to date with accurate time, budget and RAG statuses.
Innovation and Trends
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies and best practices in project delivery and agency traffic management.
- Introduce new tools, platforms and approaches to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of project and retainer delivery.
- Foster a culture of continuous learning and improvement within the Delivery teams.
Resourcing
- Work with Heads of Disciplines to develop and implement a comprehensive resource strategy to attract top talent across all levels, ensuring alignment with the agency’s goals and culture.
- Collaborate with discipline heads and Agency Director to forecast outsourcing and/ or hiring needs based on business objectives and growth plans, ensuring the agency is resourced effectively.
Key Skills and Attributes
- Proven experience (3+ years) in a senior operational role.
- Experience working in an agency environment or similar fast-paced industry.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with experience mentoring and developing talent.
- Expertise working with project management software, such as Teamwork.com.
- Demonstrated ability to set and achieve discipline goals aligned with organisational objectives.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
- Collaborative and able to work effectively across teams and disciplines.
