We’re excited to announce the launch of a new brand and website for Peplow Hall, a stunning rural retreat set in the heart of Shropshire.
Surrounded by 64 acres of beautiful parkland, meticulously landscaped gardens and the Shropshire countryside, Peplow Hall is a hidden gem. Originally built in 1725, the Hall – which is now a Grade II listed building – is an 18th century manor house with five luxury holiday home cottages all located in the vicinity.
The land and adjoining buildings were purchased by the Waters family who have invested heavily to bring the manor and cottages to life through an extensive renovation journey. From tending to the three gardens and surrounding grounds, revamping all cottages into inviting, cosy hideaways and restoring the estate into its former glory; the family have invested a huge amount of passion into this project.
Establishing a brand
Following the purchase of the land and properties, the Waters family wanted to see how they could turn it into a successful business. The location provides a fantastic space for nature lovers who want to escape city life and enjoy a peaceful space but Peplow Hall had not previously been used as a commercial space and so had no branding or identity.
We developed a suite of logos, using a linear drawing of a flower to illustrate the gardens which make up much of the allure of Peplow Hall. The stem and leaves of the flower have been designed to signify a P and H for Peplow Hall, whilst the middle of the flower is shaped like a water droplet, to represent the lake on site. This was complimented by a luxurious deep purple as the primary colour, with a soft palette of sage green, dusky pink, cornflower blue and soft grey acting as the secondary palette. The colour palette and chosen typography gives a nod to the heritage of Peplow Hall and its origins, making it current yet also exuding the five-star treatment guests will experience when visiting.
In addition to creating a brand mark and colour palette, our team also crafted brand messaging for Peplow Hall. We wanted to ensure that the tone of voice and messaging throughout all marketing communications was cohesive, developing brand values, USPs and a mission statement for the Hall.

Crafting story telling content
With the development of the brand messaging, we had the voice of Peplow Hall established ready to create engaging content for the new website. With some elements of the estate still in the process of renovation, our team went on site to experience the space for themselves, having a full tour of the manor, gardens, and cottages by the family.
Using this experience, our content team wrote bespoke website copy, which told the history of Peplow Hall, the story of how the Waters family had reinvigorated the land and the experience guests can expect when staying. From enjoying walks in nearby locations, to the decadent food packages available and everything Shropshire has to offer visitors; the copy was written with the voice of Peplow Hall in mind.
With holiday cottages as their primary commercial offering, it was important that the content was also written in a way to help Peplow Hall be seen by searchers on the web. All content was written with Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) in mind, from on page copy, image optimisation and crucial meta data.
Photography & videography
The website content illustrated how grand and spectacular the space at Peplow Hall is, but for it to be believed, professional, high-quality media was a must. We provided Peplow Hall with our Media capture service, which included a series of on-location shoots.
First, we captured a wide range of photography to showcase the exterior of the estate and surrounding areas, including the gardens and the magnificent stature of the manor. As the cottages were renovated, we completed a dedicated photo shoot to take imagery of the specification and immaculate finishing touches of each room which have been given their own personality and colour scheme.
To illustrate the breath-taking space, our Media team shot video footage of the grounds, for use on the website and social media, adding an element of interactivity and movement, whilst also showing the grandeur of the location.
Bespoke website design & development
As Peplow Hall was a brand-new business, it was important that their first step into having a digital presence made an impact. We designed and developed a bespoke WordPress website for the brand, creating an online brochure style site that highlights all the key USPs of the estate and cottages. Visitors can learn about the history of the land and view key features of each of the five cottages on site.
Future plans for Peplow Hall include corporate events and venue hire for key celebrations including weddings. The website had been designed and built in a way that it can easily expand over time with new pages and features as the business grows and user requirements increase.
Coming soon: Bespoke booking system
At the time Peplow Hall came to us with a requirement for a website and brand, they had a strong business relationship with a third party booking provider where users can find luxury holiday cottages online to rent around the UK. In addition to this revenue stream, the family wanted the ability to take bookings directly through the website, reducing administration time needed whilst also building their marketing database.
As Phase 2 of the website, we will soon be launching a bespoke booking system which will allow customers to book a stay in one of the cottages and bolt-on additional packages such as an afternoon tea or BBQ package to enjoy during their stay. This is a fully bespoke booking system that has been designed and tailored to the needs of Peplow as a business and we’re excited to launch this for the business very soon!
