BlueHub

Based in Telford, Shropshire, BlueHub are a software specialist company that provide innovative system integrations and inventory solutions for businesses across the globe.

BlueHub approached Reech for the full works. As their strategic marketing partner, we helped to re-position the company and bring them more in line with their experience, innovativeness and service offering by designing and developing a new Brand Identity and Website. We also assisted many other service areas, including Content Writing, Illustrations, Photography & Video, Social Media and SEO.

BlueHub approached Reech with the aspiration of increasing high-quality business leads and knew that a comprehensive marketing and content strategy was required to set them on the right path.

Their existing logo did not convey the technical nature of their business and services, nor did it reflect the brand’s unique personality. Calls to action on the existing BlueHub website were not prominent and the overall user experience fell flat. With this in mind, we partnered with BlueHub to provide an entire marketing overhaul.

Branding

The team at BlueHub felt that their current branding – which hadn’t been reviewed for over 10 years – lacked refinement and attention to detail. It was important that the new brand identity captured the informal working culture at BlueHub whilst also reinforcing their high level of knowledge, expertise, and professionalism.

Adopting an abstract approach, our Designers created a logo that was inspired by connectivity. The integrating shapes have been specially chosen in the design to represent information transferring, and the integration between BlueHub and their clients.

Bespoke Illustrations & Icongraphy

Next, our Creative team got to work on developing a series of illustrations to further enhance BlueHub’s new brand identity. It was important that these illustrations would be reflective of BlueHub’s identity, as they would be used as static graphics in all marketing materials – including social media assets, brochures, exhibition materials and other printed marketing outputs.

Each illustration has been developed to represent a bespoke business service or highlight a key sector. On the new BlueHub website, the illustrations are used as a vehicle to signpost users to click on various call to action buttons. Where required, the illustrations can also be simplified into an icon.

Colour Palette

To resonate with the brand name, different shades of blue form as the primary colours whilst bright yellow, mid-grey form and classic white form as the complementary colours. When used in conjunction with one another, the colours appear corporate but contemporary.

Once the logo and illustrations had been finalised, we then updated various marketing materials and corporate stationery including business cards, compliment slips, letterheads, client-facing documents and client portal assets.

Bringing together all design elements to ensure consistency going forward, we also created a brand guidelines document that clearly presents an overview of the BlueHub brand in its entirety.

The plain white walls at BlueHub’s office provided a great opportunity to showcase the new and improved BlueHub brand. Utilising some of the key elements of the company’s visual identity, including the bespoke illustrations and important brand messaging, vinyl graphics have helped to transform the space for both the team and the clients who regularly visit.

For clear signposting and navigation around the building, we also designed a number of vinyl graphics for specific areas that help to distinguish different areas and departments within the business.

The existing BlueHub website used the same design template throughout with consistent scrolling required to read text-heavy pages. Built over time, the website no longer reflected the full extent of services and expertise on offer to current and prospective clients. Both the website and the content housed on it needed an entire overhaul to bring the organisation’s online presence up to speed and in line with its corporate objectives.

Working collaboratively, we have created a website that is both functional and visually impressive. With intelligent site architecture and clear call to action buttons, users can easily navigate between pages to learn more about specific services or gain a better understanding from reading case studies. Interactions and animations help to increase audience retention rates and encourage the user to browse through more pages.

Next, we got to work rewriting all website content in the agreed tone-of-voice. With honesty and transparency at the forefront of the messaging, it was important that the content precisely highlighted the services available to both current and prospective clients.

Highlighting case studies and specific systems used, the website content provides customers with the peace of mind that BlueHub are the right business for integration systems projects. The content was also written with SEO in mind to target the agreed keywords unique to their industry and offering.

To enhance the website content and marketing materials, our in-house Photographer captured a series of collaborative shots of the BlueHub team to strengthen the message of multiple knowledge sources and promote their united approach to working.

We also took professional headshots of each employee to add visual aspects to the ‘Meet the Team’ section of the website. This would help BlueHub clients connect with the team, putting faces to the group of experts behind their technical solutions.

To drive consistency across all digital marketing channels, we updated the profile assets for BlueHub’s Facebook and LinkedIn accounts – including new profile pictures and cover photos – and updated their bio information to be more in line with their new tone of voice and messaging. Once the basic appearance of the pages had been refreshed, we set out to create a number of design templates that could be formatted for organic posts.

Combining some of the key brand messaging with our unique illustrations, the social media posts have been designed with the objectives of driving brand awareness, generating new business leads and showcasing BlueHub as experts within their field. Alongside design, we also provided a full management service by writing the content and scheduling all posts for BlueHub’s social media channels.

Measure.

We don’t just focus on the numbers.

Following the launch of the new brand and website, BlueHub has seen tremendous growth. Previous to the launch, they were receiving around one new sales lead per week, which they had no ability to pre-qualify beforehand. Through the new website and a dedicated Apply for a Call function – which allows the lead to be qualified digitally before going to BlueHub’s sales team – they are now seeing an incredible one sales lead per day! Following this incredible growth, the team is also growing with new recruits across various departments to meet customer demands.

In the first month post-go-live, the BlueHub website saw a 32% uplift in traffic, including a 32% increase in new visitors to the website. Supported by an ongoing SEO strategy and social media management, the website is continuing to receive a 16+% increase in traffic month-on-month.
