What started as an initial request to streamline existing brand guidelines has evolved into a long-term, collaborative relationship where we act as brand guardians and consultants for the business.

The Initial Brief

Sports Tours is a global events operator, specialising in bespoke travel packages for people participating in sports activities worldwide. From marathons and cycling races to triathlons and training opportunities, they offer guaranteed entry, arrange flights and accommodation, and offer community support for participants and their families. Operating across several territories including England, Ireland, France, and the USA, made aligning their brand, messaging, and positioning across these diverse ranges a key challenge.

That’s where we came in. Tasked with creating a digital playbook: a simple, easy-to-digest, top-line document containing brand guidelines that would ensure consistency and clarity across all teams globally. The overarching goal was to ensure everyone – from the marketing teams in London to the operations team in the US – was on the same page when it came to how the Sports Tours brand was represented, ensuring the messaging was aligned, clear, and impactful.

Streamlined Processes & Consistent Design

To maximise the impact of these playbooks, we understood that ongoing consistency was critical, so we also provided design templates for continued use. From email templates and signatures to organic social media assets, these tools would allow Sports Tours to maintain a professional and consistent brand identity across all touchpoints.

And we worked on presentations, refining them to better align with this streamlined brand position. Plus, we researched the best solutions and software to support their existing knowledge and needs – which was particularly crucial as it ensured that all internal teams could easily access and utilise these resources, further enhancing their day-to-day operations.

London Marathon Race Guide

Following this, Sports Tours approached us again – this time to help promote their packages for the prestigious London Marathon to their American audience. Especially those eager to tick this major marathon off their bucket list.

Sports Tours provided the content, and we took care of the design and creation of the promotional materials. The result? A visually engaging and informative Race Guide that clearly outlined the event package. By crafting this resource, we helped them connect with a core audience and amplify the visibility of their services.

Brand Guardians

As we continued to work with Sports Tours, it became clear that we could support them as brand guardians. We shared innovative ways to use their brand, brainstormed holistic strategies, and are responsible for overseeing any changes, helping them to realise the full potential of their existing identity.

Our team offered tailored guidance on how to use the brand more effectively and creatively, as well as provided new perspectives and fresh ideas for long-term growth. From further refining their messaging and tone of voice to enhancing their visual identity across a variety of mediums, we assisted Sports Tours in realigning and expanding their brand in ways they’d never considered before.

We have several exciting projects in the pipeline, including paid social assets, brochure templates, and a Race Guide for the Cape Town marathon. Additionally, we’ve recently conducted a website audit, reviewing UX and UI, as well as design and digital aspects, to ensure their site is evolving with the brand and providing a seamless user experience.

We’ve also undertaken a comprehensive SEO evaluation to enhance their digital visibility. By identifying and resolving technical SEO issues, implementing keyword and content strategies, and providing SEO and social best practices, we’ve helped Sports Tours optimise their website for greater performance. Our efforts to review and fix analytics issues, validate CRM data against Google Analytics, and implement bespoke goal tracking have given them clearer insights into their digital performance and a more strategic approach to marketing.
