In early 2021, Spring Lea Fishery was purchased by Salop Caravan Sites. Following extensive development on site, the creation of a new brand and bespoke website, Spring Lea Fishery is celebrating 1 year of its new look!
In years gone by, Spring Lea was predominantly a fishery, but recent investment in the park means that there are now enhanced on-site facilities and holiday home accommodation available. To coincide with the purchase and development of the park, Salop Caravan Sites wanted to re-brand the business as Spring Lea Fishery and Holiday Park and create a new website and suite of marketing materials. This increased Salop Caravan’s suite of parks to 10.
The park already had a good reputation for fishing, so it was vital that the new brand identity didn’t alienate its core audience. However, it was equally important that the brand promoted an equal hierarchy for fishing, touring and holiday home ownership.
A new website to explore
Bespoke in its design, the new website for Spring Lea is different to the previous design for the nine existing holiday home parks. As the product offering is slightly different and caters to a different audience, it was important that the Spring Lea website didn’t directly conform to the style of the other park websites – but it was still important that the new site would easily link to all other park websites in the group.
With clear call-to-action buttons for the user, the website is easy to navigate to and from the other park websites. When on the website, users can book a peg at one of the pools, learn more about the species they can catch and learn about the accommodation options, such as seasonal pitches and holiday home ownership. The website also allows the fishery to highlight some of their additional amenities, such as the Lakeside Café and on-site Tackle & Bait shop.
The website has also been enhanced through our professional photography and drone videography to showcase the key USPs of the fishery and holiday park. The initial photoshoot captured every the full offering at Spring Lea, from fishing through to touring, we made sure we encapsulated the feel and atmosphere of Spring Lea.
The next stage included taking photographs of the view from each peg at the variety of fishing pools. Utilised at the booking stage of the website, users are able to see exactly what their view will be when fishing at Spring Lea.
Most recently, we conducted a video shoot that took the viewer through a day at Spring Lea. Following anglers as they arrive at Spring Lea, set up their equipment, take part in fishing matches, and enjoying a drink at the onsite cafe!
Ecommerce functionality & payment gateway
Integrated with WooCommerce, the new Spring Lea website facilitates the sale of online day ticket passes, with the option for users to also purchase holiday accommodation for the duration of their stay. Users who simply want to book touring, camping and caravan accommodation without purchasing a fishing pass can do so simply through the site.
Our development team integrated the new website with the cloud-based software provider EPOS Now, and will be responsible for syncing data and thoroughly testing the connection.
Since the launch of the website and brand, we have continued to support the team at Spring Lea through our services, such as social media advertising support and campaign specific media capture. We’ve also provided targeted Pay-Per-Click advertising to support the launch of the caravan ownership opportunities on park which became available earlier this year.
