Behind the Scenes of Shrewsbury Colleges Group’s First-Ever TV Advert

We are incredibly excited to share the latest news in our recent collaboration with Shrewsbury Colleges Group. We’ve just wrapped up the college’s very first television advert, and we couldn’t be prouder of how it’s turned out.

The main goal of this TV campaign is to showcase Shrewsbury Colleges Group’s university-level opportunities. Whether you’re thinking of switching careers, a business looking to upskill your team, or a young person looking to study in the county, Shrewsbury Colleges group has a wide variety of courses to suit. Our 30-second, high-impact spot highlights the Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) on offer, from Construction and Engineering to Healthcare and more.

For this campaign, we’ve partnered with Sky AdSmart to launch an engaging advert that targets Shropshire and the surrounding areas on both live TV and catch-up. This means advertisers can maximise media budgets and ensure they reach only relevant audiences, which has historically been challenging with traditional TV advertising.

James Staniforth, the Principal of Shrewsbury Colleges Group, shared his excitement about the campaign: “We are thrilled to take this bold step in our marketing efforts. The college successfully secured government funding to promote a new range of Higher Technical Qualifications (HTQs) and the TV advert is a hugely important part of the effort to attract and support students and businesses seeking to further their education, training, and career prospects.”

And we couldn’t agree more! This advert is a big part of a broader campaign we’ve been working on with the college, aimed at spreading the word about these fantastic university-level courses. Creative Director at Reech, Dena Evans, shared her enthusiasm: “Creating this campaign for SCG has been a really exciting project. We aimed to capture the wide variety of courses relevant to both individuals and Shropshire businesses. It was also key that we captured the essence of what it’s like to study in Shrewsbury, showcasing our amazing town.”

You’ll be able to catch the advert on Sky TV across the region from the end of July. But that’s not all—we’re also rolling out a comprehensive digital campaign across social media platforms to make sure we reach as many of our target audience as possible.
