Reech for the Balls, is our brand-new local cause initiative, in support of Lingen Davies and to raise awareness of prostate and testicular cancer. This is the first charity bowling competition of its kind and is a great way for you to network with other local businesses, have fun, raise money for a fantastic cause – and most importantly, remind guys to check their balls! If you’re a Shropshire based business, it’s time for you to flex your competitive spirit for a cause that’s close to our hearts.
What happens on the night?
Reech for the Balls welcomes 24 teams from businesses throughout Shropshire to enter the competition and compete in a head-to-head bowling competition, hosted at Tenpin Telford in Southwater.
The top 5 teams will compete in a final for an iconic first-place trophy which will be engraved with the winning company name.
The evening is full of fun and networking, with plenty planned for the evening from goody bags to a raffle; there’s plenty to get involved with, even after the bowling! This is a great opportunity for any local Telford or Shrewsbury business to get to know each other and have some fun! All teams will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.
The fee for each business to enter a team is donated to Lingen Davies Cancer Fund. Please note all profits from the entry fee will go towards Lingen Davies – a small portion of each fee from teams will be used to support the costs of the hire of the venue.
Ways you can get involved
The competition is open to a total of 24 teams, with 6 players per team. Entry for a team is £200 which includes:
- Entry to Reech for the Balls competition
- Opportunity to bring your own branded pop-up banner to be displayed (Don’t have one? Get in touch and we’ll get you sorted!)
- Feature in pre and post event marketing, including press release, social media and on our website
- The opportunity to see if your team is the best in Shropshire
- And, of course – a trophy (if you win!)
Have a big team? If you want to bring more of your staff with you to support (or heckle!), we welcome supporters at the event for £5 per supporter. Again, all proceeds go to Lingen Davies Cancer Trust.
